During playing, the upward movement of the damper bar is obviously prevented by the note bars, however when the bars are not on the instrument this movement is strained by a thick threaded washer.
For many years I have been making copies on the lathe, but it is a multi stage process and there is quite a lot of waste, so this deceptively tricky little job just took too much time. So I changed the manufacturing process and using an adapted design from one of my instruments produced an alternative part for the Premier vibe which takes me a fraction of the time to make thus bringing down the price.
